Active-X Software Interface

The BioMetric Transporter supports two different modes of interface. One mode is an Active-X Internet Interface and the other is a C++ API Interface. The Active-X interface can be simply inserted into a web hosting application using standard HTML calls. All controls and video is launched from a single window if desired.

C++ API Interface

The API (Application Interface) supports an HMI (Human Machine Interface) by exposing a C++ API to the ActiveX control. A programmer can embed calls to the Active-X control, which will display real time video or controls inside the programmer’s application window. The programmer can interface their program with the camera or control features interface, which includes Pan/Tilt/Zoom for a variety of cameras or controls for any interface that can use an RS 232/422/485 interface with a protocol of choice.

ActiveX Internet Interface

The ActiveX Internet Interface provides an ActiveX control that can be inserted into a web page so that a Browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer) can display video from cameras. A single window is used to display one camera or may be used to display consecutive images of all selected cameras. A user is able to control the camera options, which includes PTZ for a variety of cameras and control any sundry device that supports a serial port interface. Multiple users can watch the real time video displayed.
